The Bearcat Basketball Program will be hosting a 3 on 3 basketball tournament for Boys and Girls in grades 3rd through 8th grade. Games will be played at Scottsbluff High School. Each team will be guaranteed 4 games and each player will receive a T-Shirt. Space is limited and will be reserved on a first come first serve basis.

RULES:
* 3 or 4 players per team. Cost is $80 per team.
* There will be 3 boys divisions and 3 girls divisions. The divisions will be divided by grade level. If there are players on the same team from different divisions, the team will be placed in the division of the oldest player.
* Games will be first team to 15 points with a 15 minute time limit.
* Each team is guaranteed 4 games.
* Teams will be seeded in tournament based on
1. Overall record
2. Head to head record
3. Fewest points allowed
4. Coin flip
* Each game will have a referee assigned to it. Players and spectators must respect all referee decisions.
* All baskets will be worth 1 point.
* The ball must be “checked” by an opposing player before it is put into play. The check-in must occur behind the take back line. The ball will be checked to start each possession after a score or any change of possession. The ball must be passed in to start play. The defender who checks the ball will need to be at least 3 feet away from the player passing the ball in.
* On a shooting foul, the player fouled will shoot 1 FT worth 1 point. Make or miss the other team will get the ball. If the offensive player makes the shot when fouled, it will be worth 1 point with no FT awarded.
* On non-shooting fouls the ball will be checked.
* Substitutions may only be made during a “dead ball” situation.
* Rock, paper, scissors will determine who starts with the ball, alternating possession on jump balls will start with the ball given to the team that started on defense.
* Sportsmanship is a must! Any players or spectators for a team using unsporting behavior could result in that player or team being removed from the 3 on 3 Jam. All decisions will be made and respected by court supervisors.
*Designated tournament officials shall have the power to make decisions on any points not specifically covered in the rules and shall also have the complete authorization to interpret the intent and purpose of these rules.
